Scout Corp works with the relevant advisors to assist with the management and sale of assets received through bequests. Not all bequeathed items are property-based; we can also manage household contents, vehicles, antiques and other valuable items, as well as coordinate formal valuations through our trusted third-party providers. We understand the importance of respecting the wishes of the donor and ensuring all actions align with both the organisation’s obligations and the intended purpose of the bequest.
Many organisations are resource-constrained and may not have the internal capacity to manage complex bequest assets. Our process is not one-size-fits-all. We recognise that every bequest, governance structure and situation is unique.
